How To Send an Application for Kulturnatten
The deadline for registering an event for Kulturnatten Uppsala 2025 has passed.
Kulturnatten is an evening when all of Uppsala comes alive with culture in every form – and everyone who wishes to share their creativity is welcome to host an event. It doesn’t matter if you’re an established institution, an association, a business, a freelancer, or an individual. What matters is that you have something cultural to offer – music, theatre, art, dance, literature, film, history, food, crafts, or something else entirely.
Once you've registered your program and it's been approved by us, your event will be featured on the Kulturnatten Uppsala program website.
You can register two types of events:
- Express your interest in performing on one of the municipality’s shared stages, or register to perform in a public space in central Uppsala.
Kulturnatten handle all the permits for outdoor events in central Uppsala during Culture Night – so you can focus entirely on your programme and cultural content. In your application, you can specify a preferred location. While we can’t guarantee that exact spot, we’ll help you find one that suits your needs. - Register an event that you organize on private premises (for example, in a theatre, a café, or at your own venue).
Important Dates for Organizers
- May 2026 - registration opens for the upcoming year. The application for outdoor events and space on the municipality's stages closes in May/June.
- August 2026 - last chance to submit program items that are organized indoors or on your own land.
- Second Saturday in September - Time for Kulturnatten Uppsala!
