How Do We Handle Your Personal Data?

Destination Uppsala processes your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Through the Kulturnatten Uppsala website, we collect registrations and publish event programs for the event. Destination Uppsala is the data controller for the processing of your personal data that we collect via the Kulturnatten Uppsala website.

To manage the registrations we receive from organizers, we need to process the following personal data:

  • Name of the contact person for vendors/organizers
  • Email address

  • Organization number (personal identification number for sole proprietorships)

The purpose of processing this data is to collect program points from the organizers and vendors who register for Kulturnatten Uppsala. The personal data is processed based on public interest.

Organizer Register

We will also save information in an organizer register. The purpose of this register is to allow us, if necessary, to refer organizers who contact us to other organizers. This will only be done if you have previously consented to the processing of personal data by ticking a consent box during registration.

Recipients of Personal Data

We will not share your personal data with third parties, and your data will not be transferred to a country outside the EU/EEA, a so-called third country, or an international organization within the meaning of the GDPR. As Destination Uppsala is a municipal company, information sent to us generally becomes public records. Your data may therefore be disclosed if we receive a request under the principle of public access to official records, unless the data is considered confidential.

The data will be stored as public records in accordance with the Archives Act. The data will be deleted on November 30th each year.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, or deletion of the data. The Right to Withdraw Consent

If you have given your consent to the processing of personal data, you can withdraw your consent at any time. If you do so, we will no longer process your personal data for those purposes. However, we are still required to comply with archival legislation, which means we may not be able to delete the data.
