A cultural event for everyone!
Uppsala's largest cultural manifestation, Kulturnatten, is an annual event organized by Uppsala’s cultural workers, cultural and civic organizations, cultural institutions, businesses, and other passionate individuals. Kulturnatten Uppsala is also Sweden’s largest culture night.
Since 1989, Uppsala Municipality's Cultural Committee has been responsible for Kulturnatten, and since 2011, Destination Uppsala has coordinated the event.
Destination Uppsala is responsible for overall coordination, inauguration, planning, information to organizers, sponsorship agreements, marketing, press, web information management, as well as evaluation and planning for the coming year.
With a focus on the environment
The planning and execution of Kulturnatten and its organizers are done in consultation with the police, social services, fire department, the Environmental and Health Protection Committee, the Street and Community Environment Committee, property owners, and Upplands local traffic. Evaluation and follow-up always take place with the above-mentioned actors after Kulturnatten.
